Online hate takes many forms. Not all of them are obvious.

Hatepedia is an online database and resource centre built with original research to provide educators, parents, lawmakers, and researchers with tools to identify and counter the proliferation of online hate.

On Hatepedia you will find:

  • Hatepedia's Guide to Online Hate, a publicly accessible database of symbols, terms, themes, and meme characters that are commonly used in online hate. Ce guide est aussi disponible en français.

  • Educate Against Hate, a set of freely downloadable lesson plans and toolkits for schools and community groups teaching about online hate.

    • Hatepedia is produced through the Holocaust Education Centre’s Online Hate Research and Education Project. Hatepedia is made possible by the Government of Canada’s Anti-Racism Action Program.
